It’s roaring loud as it rolls around.

It’s mighty teeth digging into the wood making it go down.

Crunching and munching nobody can hear anymore .

Smashing it to pieces making sure it’s all crushed.

It’s like a chef making sure there’s no big bits of vegetables in the soup.

Pieces of wood flying everywhere like birds soaring in the sky.

I can’t believe my eyes when I see nothing left, just big piles of dirt and wood while the digger rolls around like it has won the fight.

It takes it away, There’s nothing left.

What do you think about our New Zealand flag?Is it time for a change?

I do think the New Zealand flag should be change.

Some say that people died fighting for the flag BUT they were actually fighting for the land.On all the soldiers graves that died fighting for the land  have the silver fern not the New Zealand flag even on the New Zealand crest it has a silver fern.Do people really want to look like Australia.You know they are not sure if they are changing the flag at all either so they might not.Plus we don’t need the union jack on our flag anymore.We are not England.I think the silver fern is more native to us then the union jack.They have already spent the money for the flag so there is no argument on that.

This is why I think the flag should be changed.

Why Waikanae?

Why do people come to Waikanae?

I think people come to Waikanae because it is safe and healthy.Safe meaning, if you look around there are BIG earthquakes and fires happening all over the country destroying everything and you look at us we are completely safe.We are also quieter and smaller and have some amazing schools just like Waikanae school.It is a good school to learn and have fun at the same time and there is no mucking around.Anyway Waikanae is also popular because of its amazing bush walks and the river, I mean who hasn’t been to the river its the best thing you can do here.The bush walks are amazing to.They are long, exciting, and so adventurous.When you get to the top of Hemi Matanga it is the best view you will ever see.You can also get great views from your houses.You can see Kapiti Island from everywhere.The sunset is also amazing.Its all sorts of colours like red, orange, pink, and yellow.Waikanae is also quite close to Wellington incase of ant emergencys that you need to get there straight away.But in Waikanae you wont need to go there that often because we have the best doctors here that help out whenever you need them.People also move here because their family probably lives here or because they like to grow their own vegies and flowers.Other people move here because big houses here cost the same as small houses in Wellington.

I say who knows why people move here is it to do with houses or family or education.

Beaky

I am trapped inside a cage longing to be free. As I sit in my small cage I watch all the other birds flying up into the clouds until I can’t see them anymore. Feeling the wind makes me want to spread my wings and take off. But I can’t. Everyday giant hand reaches into my cage. I am frightened for my life so I fiercely bite it. Then I realize what they want so I climb on. They take me out and I think this is my chance to fly, so I spread my wings jump but I fall. I forget that I can’t fly. My wing is badly damaged. I am stuck here for the rest of my life. As they pass me around I get terrified. Everybody wants me. In the weekends I go to different people’s houses. Most of them have cats. I think my life is over. But luckily the shut them up. They feed me lots of food and give me good hugs. The highlight of my day is that I get all the attention.
